Credit Recovery

Armenian Mesrobian School is committed to ensuring that all students maximize their potential as we prepare them for success both now and in the future. To support students who may be struggling in their core classes, we require those who earn a grade below a C- in Semester I or II in a core class (English, Math, Science, History/ Social Studies) to register for and complete the UC-approved programs. This is necessary for them to receive credit for the course and stay on track to graduate with their High School Diploma, as we will no longer be offering the Mesrobian Summer School program for High School students.

Students must complete the course and provide a copy of the transcript, along with a passing grade (C- and above), to the school registrar or college counselor by June 1, of the following year, for Semester I courses and October 15 for Semester II courses, in order to have the credit reflected on their transcript. The grade earned for the class will not overwrite the original grade. Instead, it can improve the original grade by up to one letter grade. A credit recovery course may be taken a maximum of two times.

Students who do not meet the graduation requirements may walk at the Graduation Ceremony, but will not earn a High School Diploma. This is documented on the transcript.
