Chromebooks

ALL middle and high school students are required to have a working and charged Chromebook every day for class.

Armenian Mesrobian School requires that all 6th-12th grade students purchase an approved Chromebook device. While this device is the personal property of the student's family, all students and families must abide by Mesrobian's administration protocols. The device’s function will provide each student access to the required educational materials needed for each student to be successful. The Chromebook allows student access to Google Apps for Education, educational web-based tools, as well as many other useful sites. This device is an educational tool not intended for gaming, social networking, or high-end computing.

How do I purchase a Chromebook?

  1. You may purchase a Chromebook from CTL. https://ctl.net/chromebooks  Any of the Chromebook options on the site are acceptable, but you must purchase this add-on during checkout: GOOGLE EDUCATION UPGRADE

  2. You may also purchase a Chromebook from another retailer, however, you will be required to pay $45 to Armenian Mesrobian School to purchase a Google Management License through the school. This license allows us to link the Chromebook to our Google for Education enterprise.

What happens if I forget to bring my Chromebook to school?

If students leave their Chromebook at home, they will be allowed to phone their parent/guardian to bring it to school. You will not be allowed to borrow a Chromebook from the office.

What happens if my Chromebook is being repaired?

If a Chromebook is being repaired, a document that proves that the Chromebook is being repaired must be given to the school. The student will then be allowed to use a school-issued Chromebook for a limited time. (Students are liable up to $300 for lost or damaged Chromebooks.)

Can I borrow a Chromebook Charger from the school?

Chromebook chargers are no longer available for borrowing from the school. Chromebooks chargers vary from Chromebook to Chromebook. Students are encouraged to charge their Chromebooks overnight.
